I've been hoping these would hit market, but figured they were a good 5+ years off. If these work as well as I'm hoping, it will revolutionize how people with disabilities live.

Fun fact: the company making these thing is called Cyberdyne. The company that made SkyNet and the Terminators was called Cyberdyne. Start stockpiling guns, booze, and canned food now, because the future is going to be off the fucking hook.

Holy shit, OPEC just exploded. OPEC wanted to cut production (after saying that $100/bbl is where they want to set the market floor), and Saudi Arabia said that they wouldn't honor the cut and literally walked out of the meeting. It looks like all the talk about alternative energies scared them.

I wonder how long there would have to be sane prices before people started buying SUVs again.

Lately, I've been playing a lot of shooters, thanks to Geometry Wars: Galaxies and the Wii's Virtual Console (and the Homebrew Channel, which lets me run emulators).

One of my favorites is Cho Aniki, which features a bodybuilder who needs to stop an evil muscleman from stealing all the protein in the universe. The primary powerup is getting one (or two!) Speedo-clad musclemen to orbit around you. The primary weapon is the Man Beam.* When you die, the continue screen is your bodybuilder and his two muscly companions flexing. It's the gayest game in the world, and it's awesome.

The other game I've been playing a lot is called Lords of Thunder, and in it you're a demigod who kills shit while guitars scream in the background. In the first thirty seconds, you blow up a bunch of Viking longboats, a couple giant dragons, and a whole bunch of other stuff.

I suck at both games, and I have no idea if they're actually good shooters, because I don't know much about the genre. But one is the video game equivalent of Junior Senior's "Chicks and Dicks," and the other is Zep's "Immigrant Song," and it's totally sweet.

* I am not making this up, it's in the documentation.

Too bad that:

1. 4 classes is too many
2. I also have to teach
3. Those classes probably wouldn't satisfy any requirements
4. All the classes (except Second Year Project, of course) are in LPS instead of DoP.

I might have to skip out on Wittgenstein for a class on value theory. However, if I do take Wittgenstein, it might count for my logic requirement. Philosophy of Math and Evolution & Consciousness definitely wouldn't count for something I haven't already done.

Finally read enough to start on my Locke paper (threads of argument in 4.19 of Locke's Essay, arguing that the polemic is directed more against the moral and political evil of dogmatism than religious or philosophical enthusiasts specifically).

Still haven't started writing my epistemology paper (why the no-false-lemma approach to knowledge is wrong wrong wrong).
